Christhopher Baer is a contemporary artist working in oil paint, digital formats and glass.
Inspired by mid-century abstract expressionism, Baer’s work is formalistic, vibrant and gestual.
He produces work between studios in Italy and the US ansi s a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design.
Since the early 2000’s he has concentrated on a body of work in contemporary oil painting.
Two series, called “Palisades” and “Line Theory”, comprise a body of large-scale studies in form, color and line.
He found his way to Murano where he forged a lasting relationship with LP.
In an experiment that blossomed into an entirely new series of works, he translated select oil painting sas sketches in vibrant, fused glass.
The series would grow to include fresh compositions in addition to those that reference the foundations oh his contemporary painting.
